STUDIO
“The animonautes” [digital animated images] studio was formed in 2004 when two animators, Guy Brochard and Evgenia Tiktapanidou decided to join their expertise in 3D animation and digital movie.

We are an animation, motion graphics and video production studio based in Thessaloniki.
We are challenged to support
your creative projects
Previously, Guy Brochard and Evgenia Tiktapanidou specialised in the production of communication material to support the space industry (European Space Agency – ESA) and the biotechnology sector. As senior animators of the ESA-medialab, they created an extensive and specialised portfolio covering the need of artistic visualisation, reconstruction and explanation in the fields of science and technology.
Part of their work has been broadcasted by TV NEWS programmes of distinctive TV channels (e.g. CNN, BBC, France 2, TV5, Euronews, Discovery Channel, WDR), incorporated in specialised scientific TV productions and has formed an important part of the communication material of the ESA-sciences department (3d animations & 3d illustrations, brochures, posters, website content production).
In October 2004 they relocated in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Selected for a Marie-Curie Fellowship program, Guy Brochard worked as a consultant for the Institute of Informatics and Telematics (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), and provided R&D services in the fields of 3d modeling and animation for real time/immersive applications.
As freelancer, Eugenia Tiktapanidou created many 2D and 3D animations for video productions, TV adverts and idents.
They decided to concentrate on their passion -the storytelling, particularly for science- and to specialize in the creation of movies for planetarium, museum and stereoscopic cinemas. Along with adverts and TV idents, they contributed to the stereoscopic movie “I reach the light” for the Museum of cinema of Thessaloniki, created several sequences for the Eugenides Planetarium, and directed videos for the dissemination of the weKnowIt european project, before writing and co-producing the 25 minutes fulldome movie “the Earth and me”.

We create fully 3d animated movies or individually 3d animated sequences for a variety of displays (HD, stereoscopic, fulldome, holographic). We move freely from the infinitely large (space sequences) to the tiniest possible (biotech).

2d animation
We like to "embroider" our projects with animated graphics as these details can really make the difference. Our animated graphics illustrate accurately and communicate well documented data.

We are keen on producing video products of any complexity. We provide a full range of services, from concept, script writing, direction, video recording, image processing... ending with ready-made video solutions.

Over the years we produced a series of dissemination videos for a number of Horizon 2020 projects covering the most diverse subjects. And it is this variety that keeps us curious and creative, trying always to accurately present and at the same time explain each project' specifics. We deliver videos covering these three main needs (dissemination, promotional and corporate) for various disciplines and on multiple languages.
graphic design
We are using visual components such as typography, artwork, color, and layout to effectively and attractively transmit messages or information. We focus on the aesthetics of a video, website, poster, flyer or other digital design and we try ...to keep it simple.
